Michael Gilbert, President

Michael Gilbert is president of IT Advantage, Inc., a company he founded in 1999 to provide small to medium-sized businesses in Orange and Los Angeles Counties with high-quality, straight-forward IT support services.  Michael previously worked for a small local IT services company as well as for Micro Center, a national retail computer chain where he worked his way up from an entry level tech to lead technician.  Mr. Gilbert holds several IT certifications, including an A+ certification, MCSE on Windows NT 4, MCSE on Windows 2003, and an MCITP:EA.  He also has many vendor certifications, including HP, IBM, Microsoft, Toshiba, Okidata, PowerSpec, Canon, Winbook, to name a few. He has extensive field experience with a wide variety of hardware and software products from vendors such as Microsoft, Symantec, VMware, Sage, GFI, AVG, Logitech, Netgear, Cisco, Adobe among many others.  Mr. Gilbert received a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration on Management of Information Systems, and holds a certificate of Information Systems Security Professionals from the Committee on National Security Systems.  Michael lives in Buena Park with his wife Lisa and 3 children.

 

Lisa Gilbert, Operations Manager

Lisa Gilbert is responsible for maintaining the operations at IT Advantage, including dispatch, A/R, vendor coordination, sales, triage support, and technician coordination.   She joined IT Advantage in 2005 to help with the day-to-day tasks of managing a growing IT company, bringing with her the experiences of being an office manager to improve our ability to serve our customers.  She enjoys the challenges of resolving difficult IT issues, and takes pride in providing our customers with excellent customer service.  Lisa has an extensive background in bookkeeping, tax management, customer service and vendor relations which she has used to become a guiding force in our growth to success as a company.

 

Justin Williams, Web Design & Development

Justin Williams has over 15 years of internet development and marketing ideas design experience, and has been involved with all levels of technical project management. From writing code to managing large teams of software developers, Justin has a proven track record of delivering eloquent programming solutions.
While there are many software engineers who are capable of high end programming, few possess an ability to communicate innovation through these concepts in a manner which can be understood by everyone else. Justin possesses a rare combination of technical proficiency, an understanding of clients needs, and a creative spirit. Justin’s work may be seen on his website.

 


Erik Kuli, Phone Systems/Phone & Data Cabling/VOIP

Erik has been working with IT Advantage since 2005, and is an authorized Toshiba PBX technician.  He is always our go-to-guy when a customer needs some data or phone cabling installed quickly, or when we need him to help clean up the mess left by a less-competent competitor.  His 20+ years in the telephone industry serve our customers well, and he always is able to use creative solutions with cutting edge telco technology to impress customers by exceeding their expectations.  Erik has experience with all aspects of telco, from POTS lines and T1 to fiber optics and VOIP.  He has worked on projects involving as few as 10 drops to as many as a thousand, and everything in between, so there is no job too great or too small for him to handle.
